media player : part 2

PC ekspo. Unable to resist & went with Amin. He bought Seagate FreeAgent® GoFlex™ 500gb  HDD which is RM20 cheaper than when i bought it last month!! Arghhhhhhh. Good deal. I only got 1 thing in my mind - survey for media player.

After 3 rounds, few choices, i go for this. Modeo Mini Full HD Media Player. :). Much cheaper compared to retail price at Digital Mall/ Low Yat. The downside is no Ethernet port (no online streaming). But other than that, amazing device. Support full HD & plays all the extension i have. MKV, MP4, RMVB, etc... plus the size is small 2" x 2".

Tested immediately once home. My choice - Avatar 720p. Excellence. 2nd choice - How To Train A Dragon 1080p. Excellence. No complain! The menu is so simple, operating is extremely easy - my wife mastered it within 5 minutes. 

Only a thing to do - subtitles doesn't work when separated in different folder. So i had to move my prefered subtitles to the same folder with the movie. 

So my system complete for now. Time to enjoy it... :)

media player?

Looking forward to complete my home theater system (for beginner that is). So for the final piece i'm looking for HD media player. Been torrenting a lot of movies. I need it to be:

• support HDMI - need to support full HD 1080 or 720
• support MKV & Mpeg-4 files
• black in color
• medium range

Having a free internet account is good. Having a free internet account with un-capped usage is very good. Having a free internet account with un-capped usage BUT out of coverage & slow is useless. :)


Was finding a way to solve this. Streamyx? hurm, i got no phone line...total cost gonna be 300++. Then just brosing to www.unifi.my, my place is in coverage! yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh!! double confirm with my friend & lucky for me, they are waiving off installation fees & also free for the 1st month at that time. Without any haste, made my order online and set the appointment date. 


Came the day. Woke up early, just to prep the house for them to come. I wait. 8.30am - no calls. 9.00am - no calls. 9.30am (the time set for the visit) - still no calls. Give them another 10 minutes, called the careline & at 10.00am, they came. Actually only 1 man came. I had doubts. I literally ask him - "boleh ke buat sorang?". With confident he said "Boleh bang. Cuma lambat sikit jer la.". Erk...so i let it flow. 


He went to the back of my house. What do u know? The box is just behind my house on the phone pole.

So the work began. He made some wiring at the box and pulling cable to my house. Inside, I'm snapping more pics.

Cut it short....the installation was over in 2 1/2 hrs. Efficient work, good technician.

My home. My home sweet home. Been living here since 2006. At that time 10 of us (i think) lived here. Now only me & my better half. Time to re-decorate the once bachelor pad to a place i call home.


Re-moving in (been out of this house for a while since married). Phewwwwww....spend 2 days scrubbing & washing the place. Literally. But no pics - too busy to snap anything. Threw a lorry of thrash from the house. Just wanna make the house fresh.


Then a week later, my LCD + Home theater + Fridge came.....huhuhu..grinning from ear to ear. Of coz - it's from courts. No money to buy cash.

new year...

it's the 21st day of the year. Alhamdulillah, i lived on to see another new year in my life..


It's exactly 1 year & 3 days i've been in this company...wooohoooo..&  i'm a confirmed employee. Rezeki nikah katanya. Really happy here, freedom of working with minimal supervision, get a saying in team decision, respect from team members & flexibility. Insyaallah, will be here for longer period...

Just finished my 5 days vacation... settling my son & my daughter school preparation. Now i know how mama & ayah felt everytime school starts... huhu. Literally terrified when looking at all the price tags..none the less..have to buy. Just can't take it looking at Aiman wearing his worn-out last year school uniform...kesian my bujang.

The hunt started on 1st January. Destination - Danga Bay Mall. Since ayah wanted to go to the gallery; Metrojaya is also there, so lets go. Result - not that good. Manage to grab 3 school shirt for Aiman. Failure on the parts. But manage to get Mya's barbie bag for RM 15.00. She was gleaming!!

Then ayah said dinner 1st. Yum yum.. tip top ikan bakar is the destination. Been eating here since 30 years back. Feel so good when can treating mama & ayah with my hard earned money. Too bad no pics available since didn't bring the cams. 

Then next destination - IOI mall Kulai. Homaigoddddddddddd... should have go here the 1st place. A carnival of school uniforms! Mission totally accomplished. 2 pairs of pants, 2 pair of shoes, 2 pair of baju melayu for sekolah agama, 3 pairs of socks & 1 sampin hitam. Xpa, burnt my pocket but it was worth it when i see Aiman's face.

2nd January. Nothing much. Went to few barber shop - all with at least 5 person waiting in queue. Last minute i guess (same as me). IOI mall again. This time Mya's shoes. Totally forgot about her shoes. She's starting her kindergarten years. :)

Here comes Monday. Owhh....woke up very early. 7am since need to send Mya for her registration. Wow....papa &  mama is very nervous!! Now i feel it... & now i know i need to save up for their education. Smart Reader gonna cost me 1k per year. :)


Afternoon, time to send Aiman. Huhuhu...my hero smiling all the way to school. Not even a single hint of nervous. Gooood. Alhamdulillah.


Think I stop here. Welcoming myself to the world of parenting. & I'm loving it !!!!

30th December.....

Its been 1 month & 8 days since i last wrote anything. In between these dates...a lot...I mean a LOT have happened. So gonna start with the first thing....


I'm MARRIED! :)
Haha...alhamdulillah...all's well. I think my tok kadi set a record for the longest nikah sermon - 1 hour 15 minutes to be exact. I sat at 11.30am & finished my lafaz at12.50pm. Do the counting yourself...it was that long that when I entered the house, I was a nervous wreck but ending up bored.
